A small team means every hire changes the character of the place, so we would rather leave a role open than fill it quickly. If that sounds like the kind of employer you want, the rest of this is for you.

01 What we expect

• You will speak to clients. Engineers here explain their own work. There is no account manager translating on your behalf, which is better for the client and considerably better for you.
• You will write. Reports, runbooks, post-incident reviews. If you can reason clearly but cannot write it down, half your value is stranded.
• Curiosity over credentials. Certifications are useful and we will fund them. They are not what we select on — we select on how you approach a system you have never seen.
• Say when you do not know. The failure mode in this industry is confident guessing. We would rather hear "I need two hours to find out" than a plausible answer that turns out to be wrong at 3am.

02 What you get

• No heroics culture. On-call is compensated and rotated. A team that depends on exhausted people is one incident away from a much worse incident.
• Real breadth. Because we build and investigate, you will not spend three years on one narrow slice. The forensics work makes you a better architect, and the reverse.
